The Rainbow Gospel & Soul Connection was formed in 1994, right on the peak of the new "German Gospel music ardor" which had been triggered by the film "Sister Act". Since 1999 Mannheim-based musician Joe Voelker has lead the choir. Their goal is to praise the Lord with Music That Grooves.
They do a mixed bag of Gospel music from past to present, including ancient spirituals that picture life as a vale of tears, and more recent styles featuring R&B and hiphop elements.
